Jim Moore, certified biomedical technologist and Dennis McCutcheon, physician's assistant, started MedEquip Missions out of their homes in 1998.

Jim Moore, a former Marine has greater than twenty years experience in electronics and was a senior biomedical technologist in a local hospital for eighteen years. He now works for World Medical Missions/Samaritan’s Purse in Boone, NC but remains a very active consultant and participant in the work of MedEquip Missions.

Dennis McCutcheon, a former Navy Corpsman (hard to work with a Marine), has been a physician’s assistant for twenty-two years working in orthopedic surgery at West Virginia University and with Dr David O. Lincoln, and Dr. Joseph Dement in Asheville, NC. Ordained by Calvary Chapel of Asheville, Dennis is now full time with MedEquip Missions, devoted to both the work of MedEquip Missions and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ at every opportunity provided through this ministry.
