Any brand Sterilizer up to 24”x 36” (door size) x 60” chamber depth.
AMSCO is a preferred brand. Castle-Getinge is another common unit.
Single swinging doors preferred; double doors OK; Avoid sliding doors.
All table top units.
Ask for racks, trays, loading and transfer carriages.
ECG/EKG Recorders:
Burdick EK-8 or newer
Cambridge e-300 or newer
Fukuda Denshi 1990 or newer
Marquette MAC 6 or newer
ECG Monitors:
Bedside Monitors – no central systems some units can be switched from network units to stand alone – look at the back of the machine for switch or information about that function.
Telemetry – newer systems (radio).
Recommend small basic battery backup models.
Avoid large power hungry units with multiparameters.
Electrosurgical (Cautery) Units:
All solid state devices – avoid old Green Bovies, others on hit list.
Best are Valleylab, Conmed, Bard, Birtcher, there are others.
Endoscopy:
Send all flexible and rigid scopes. International Aid, World Medical Missions/Samaritan’s Purse, and MedEquip Missions whom ever is closest to you.

Obstetric exam and delivery tables very needed.
Operating Room Lights:
Try to get controls and transformers.
AMSCO DV22, Polaris, and Challenge common and acceptable.
Pulse Oximeter:
Most from Nellcor, Ohmeda, Nonin, Criticare, with battery back up;
Ask for probes.
Some older machines are cost prohibitive to fix.

All suction machines. Gomco especially.
Ultrasounds:
All portables.
Large machines manufactured after 1987.
Are the probes good and functioning? This is the major expense in diagnostic ultrasonography.
